HF based Wireless AC Power Transfer
HF based wireless AC power transfer is one of the innovative electrical engineering projects which is designed for charging electric vehicles, mobile batteries, etc., wirelessly. The wireless power transfer can be achieved by developing high frequencies using a high frequency transformer. This HF transformer develops high frequency supply of 12V at 25 to 40 KHz from the available 230V at 50 Hz.
The resonating coil made of multi-strand copper acts as an air core transformer and input to this is taken from the output of HF transformer. Thus, a 12V at high frequency is generated in the secondary coil. Hence, the power is transferred from primary (can be considered as a transmitter) to secondary (considered as receiver) which are separated by a specific distance (here it is around 3 to 5cm). The wireless power can be used for various purposes (here a DC load is operated after duly rectifying it).
Automatic Emergency LED Light
The automatic emergency LED light is one of the easy engineering projects which is used as automatic emergency light (during night time mains power supply interruptions). High intensity white LEDs are used for the light source. If power is turned OFF or interrupted, then the LEDs get turned ON using the battery power. And once if the power is retained, then the LEDs get turned OFF and during this condition the batteries get charged.
Automatic Switching Power Supply
The automatic switching power supply electrical engineering project is used for turning OFF and ON based on the load condition. If the load doesn’t draw any current, then the power supply will be turned off automatically using the transistor and a relay arrangement in the circuit. The potentiometer in the circuit can be used for varying the current drawn by the load.

Thyristors based Dual Converter
Thyristors based dual converter is one of the easy electronics engineering projects which is designed for changing the DC supply polarities from the available AC in order to control the DC motor in both the directions. In this project, two SCR bridges along with push button switches are used for changing the polarities and thus, the direction of the motor. These thyristors are interfaced to the 8051 microcontroller used in this project using an Opto-isolator.
Flexible AC Transmission by TSR
FACTS by thyristor switched reactor is simple engineering projects which is used for the compensation of voltage. Generally, when there is no load or while the load is drawing very less current (because the power is constant which is the product of voltage and current, hence if current decreases, then the voltage increases), then the voltage at the receiving end will be greater than the sending end voltage which causes load damage. Thus, by using the thyristor switched reactor (choke is used in this project) the voltage can be duly compensated.
Induction Motor Speed Control using Thyristor based Cyclocoverter
The speed of single phase induction motor can be controlled using thyristor based cycloconverter with which the motor can be operated in three different speeds. There are different techniques to control the speed of induction motor, but, this is an economical method compared to other methods. In this project, the fundamental frequency can be changed into different ranges (f, f/2, and f/3) and thus, speed can be varied accordingly. By using the programming technique, the thyristor bridge can be triggered to achieve the speed control of induction motor.
